  • JOB PURPOSE: In this role, you will provide support to the Skills Development Programme (SDP) and contribute to enhancing quality and effectiveness of SDP`s technical assistance and coordination with project implementation teams. You will also ensure timely preparation of progress reports and submission to the donor and development partners.
  • SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support for effective implementation and operations of capacity building activities related to project outputs.
  • Develop and retrofit training module on apprenticeship, classroom-based and enterprise development related to project outputs in terms of climate change adaptation issues in alignment with the local context and safeguarding livelihood from anticipated climatic extreme events.
  • Design methodology for identification for climate adaptive intervention, development of strategies and adaptation measures for safeguarding livelihood from climate change impacts through training module.
  • Build capacity of the team on climate change concept, climate change vulnerability assessment.
  • Follow- up and overseeing the overall activities of designated projects through regular field visits and providing necessary support for further improvement and to ensure quality implementation of all projects.
  • Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution in support with respective communication team.
  • Support in effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in compliance with programme agreements as well as expected standards.
  • Ensure cross departmental coordination which is taking place among Gender & Inclusion, Technology & MEL, Operations, Communications, HR, etc.
  • Organise and prepare project field visits for donors and government officials as and when necessary

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors in any relevant discipline from any recognised university/ institution; preferably in Environment/ Economics/ Development Studies

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)


Additional Requirements

  • Understanding of NGO sector and Climate Change Adaptation, Resilience.
  • Knowledge on gender, environmental and social compliance issues.
  • Strong networking and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, mobilisation of community skill and communication and advocacy skills with local and national stakeholders.
  • Strong Project Management, report writing skills and proficiency in different computer applications.
  • Ability of analytical & critical thinking, experience of corporate communications, experience in dealing Government officials, marketing, public affairs or other related field.
  • Minimum 02 years of relevant experience, preferably in development organisations
