Job Context

    The Regional Sales Manager for Cement Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales team within a designated geographical region. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to achieve sales targets, expand market share, and drive revenue growth for the cement products of the company. The Regional Sales Manager will also foster relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders to ensure the successful distribution and promotion of cement products.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed sales targets for cement products in the assigned region.
  • Manage and lead a team of sales professionals, including Sales Representatives and Account Managers, to ensure they are motivated, well-trained, and aligned with company goals.
  • Provide on time and sufficient information on stock movement across the region to help HC & CD to take decision on OMR, channel infiltration and other supply related matters.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. Use this information to adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and influencers in the cement industry. Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance and market conditions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s cement products, their applications, and advantages over competitors. Train the sales team on product knowledge and features.
  • Oversee the distribution network, including distributors and dealers. Collaborate with them to ensure efficient product distribution and support.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and technical teams to provide necessary support and resources to the sales team, including marketing materials, technical specifications, and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure that all sales transactions and documentation are in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, such as sales revenue, market share, customer acquisition, and customer retention rates.
  • Identify training needs for the sales team and provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage the sales budget for the region, allocating resources effectively and efficiently to achieve desired results.
