    We are looking for a dynamic and self-driven professional for our audit department as Assistant Director, Post Audit. The position “Assistant Director-Post Audit” will play a leading role in handling the post audit of Eastern University.



Job Context

    Candidates must have a M. Com/MBA in Accounting or M. Com/MBA in Finance from a reputed university or Bachelor`s degree in Accounting with CA partly qualified (ACA preferred). Total 8 years of work experience of which 5 years` relevant experience as Senior Executive (Internal/post Audit) or equivalent position will be preferred. Good communication in English language, computer literacy in modern office applications and ability to handle customized university automation software will also be given preference.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present reports on post-audit findings that reflect the audit’s results and document process.
  • Post-auditing of all accounting transactions, purchase requisitions, financial vouchers, bills, etc. with ERP & Tally software entry.
  • As a post-auditor, you will check and verify all kinds of bills and vouchers to ensure the accuracy of accounting records and procedures.
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
  • Identify flaws and recommend risk-aversion and cost-cutting measures.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions.
  • PR checking, (3 quotation comparison), with actual requirements by department.
  • Checks and verifies the requisition/budget, comparative statements (CS) of all kinds of procurement (local and import).
  • Checks the inter-university transaction register/ledger
  • To interact with internal and external audits.
  • Checking of books of records such as cashbooks, party/subsidiary ledgers, store registers etc.
  • Submit the post-audit report to the Treasurer, Vice-Chancellor, and Audit Committee of the EU.
  • Check for any procedural infractions or by passes.
  • Assist senior management with any special inspections, investigations, examinations, or reviews of frauds or irregularities.
  • Any special task assigned by top management/board from time to time.

Educational Requirements

  • Master of Commerce (MCom)
  • Candidates must have a M. Com/MBA in Accounting or M. Com/MBA in Finance from a reputed university or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CA partly qualified (ACA preferred)
