Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support to maintain data consistency and ensure that data are entered properly in a timely manner.
  • Conduct bi-weekly data quality assurance visits for process monitoring of implementing partner (IP) level BANI MEL activities
  • Ensure routine data quality assurance visits to union-level offices and target communities. Coordinate with program staff for planning and presenting the report of achievement and gaps
  • Conduct internal activity audits to verify the reliability and validity of routine monitoring data at and between community, union and Upazilas levels. Report issues to appropriate program management team members
  • Provide additional mentoring and support to frontline staff involved in data collection. Provide troubleshooting if they cannot resolve escalated hardware or software problems such as those encountered by Field Facilitators/ Community Health Facilitators. And review weekly digital form submission data for assigned upazila to ensure completeness.
  • Provide field-level supervision and oversight for routine participant surveys and validate Routine Participants Survey Data by Data Collectors
  • Support innovation and learning related to program outcomes, including supporting its documentation and reporting quarterly.
  • Assist in ensuring systematic collection, analysis and preservation of data and information for program monitoring and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure that implementing partners are using similar tools, processes and approaches for MEL systems and using prescribed quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect data and assisting them in data processing and analysis for prepare quality report.
  • Assist in the provision of on-the-job training to implementing partners on field level monitoring, reporting and maintenance of quality and document the learning of the project.
  • Carry out systematic cross/ spot checking and triangulation on the sample and census data at its primary and secondary sources is in practice. This includes desk review and physical verification registration, training attendance sheet & input support muster roll for program participants and beneficiaries.
  • Maintain all MEL data and documentation of digital/ paper-based forms as required.
  • All other duties as requested by the Senior Manager-MEL and/or Director MEL.

Educational Requirements

  • A Graduate / Master’s degree in relevant areas including economics, statistics, epidemiology, public health, development, management, rural and urban planning.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 4 year(s)


Additional Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of progressive experience in developing/ using databases, compiling monitoring, evaluation and learning information (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of PRA tools and Technology (Required)
  • Strong computer application skills in the use of MS Office packages (Access, Word, Excel, e-mail). (Required)
  • Experience in recording and compiling data, synthesizing and generating evidence and triangulating information from multiple sources required. (Required)
  • Knowledge on database related software use i.e. SPSS/STATA (Required)
  • Experience analyzing and presenting program data (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and fluency in spoken and written English and Bangla languages. (Required)
  • Have a clear understanding of the MEL frameworks, tools, process, sampling, data collection frequencies, and data sources. (Required)
  • Experience working with food security and/or related (MCHN, Ag, Nutrition, etc.) development projects (Required).
  • Experience working with USAID funded food security projects (Preferred)
  • Previous experience working in the CHT areas and/or knowledge of the CHT region (Desired)
  • Demonstrated facilitation and training experience. (Desired)
  • Experience working with the private sector, Government, and Non-government stakeholders including the implementing partners. (Desired)
  • Willingness to engage with vulnerable groups in a participatory manner (Required)
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently (Required)
  • Spoken and/or understand CHT local languages. (Desired)
