Job Context

    Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multi-disciplinary academic institute of BRAC University, which intends to promote global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training and advocacy. CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global concerns and issues, including fragility, conflict and violence. The institute has multiple interventions in Cox`s Bazar under its Refugee Studies Unit (RSU). CPJ is currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated MEL & Reporting Officer for its RSU interventions in Cox`s Bazar District according to the Terms of Reference.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the monitoring activities;
  • Develop monitoring strategy, framework and tools for the project;
  • Ensure the monitoring of project through applying the relevant tools as per the project Logical Framework;
  • Design quarterly and monthly monitoring plan and follow up the progress;
  • Ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports for the project;
  • Ensure the activity reports and update to CPJ, donor and other stakeholders such as CwC, RRRC regularly;
  • Maintain the database on monitoring, project activities and research, and communicate with the line supervisor;
  • Collect case stories from the project area;
  • Coordinate the studies and visits on monitoring, evaluation and learning;
  • Coordinate with the partner organisations in terms of MEL plan and reporting;
  • Support to organize trainings, workshops, seminars and research activates for the project;
  • Support to develop research, training, and education materials along with knowledge development support for the project;
  • Preparing periodic reports and share among the team members;
  • Showcasing notable achievements of the project;
  • Maintaining cohesive environment with team and coordinate with the RSU Lead; · Develop networks and working collaborations with the project partners, stakeholders and authorities in terms of monitoring and evaluation; and
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the line supervisor.

Educational Requirements

  • Completed Post-Graduation Degree (Masters) from a reputed academic institution in Statistics, Social Science or in a relevant discipline;
  • Relevant experience of 3 years in a similar position will be preferred;
  • Excellent Command over written and oral English as well as excellent IT skills.
