Job Context

  • JOB PURPOSE: To Manage adequate, efficient and cost-effective repair and maintenance of the vehicles of BRAC and its Sister Concerns for the smooth operation of fleet management.
  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure effective & efficient repair & maintenance of vehicles within the standard time-line
  • Making guidelines and conducting follow-ups with service engineers & foreman to ensure proper diagnosis, troubleshooting and repairing of vehicles and overseeing quality control at the time of vehicle delivery.
  • Making guidelines and follow up with spare parts department to make provision of fast-moving items, lubricants, and other major spare parts to ensure smooth, effective and efficient operation of the service department.
  • Ensure the placing of requisition for spares and other materials through proper follow up with concern colleague/subordinates by proper analysis so that the spares are utilized properly.
  • Receive and review feedback from customers and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Take initiatives for enlistment of vendors/ suppliers for outside workshop, machine shop work, lubricant items etc.
  • Carry out proper inspection of vehicles during purchasing of new/reconditioned vehicles.
  • Take initiative for workshop modernization and initiate necessary tools & equipment purchase.
  • Identify staff that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved. Work with apprentices and semi-skilled staff to role model appropriate technical skills.
  • Enhancement of interpersonal relationship among the employees and make a healthy environment of work.
  • Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with GM, Fleet Management. Report on manpower overruns or shortfalls.

Educational Requirements

  • B.Sc (Engg.) in Mechanical /Automobile Engineering from any recognised university/ institution
