Job Context

    BLACK AND WHITE LAW HOUSE is one of the most renowned law chambers in the country. It consists of both young law professionals and experienced experts. It is the first ever law house in Bangladesh aiming at facilitating all kinds of legal services from a single network while focusing on documentation and litigation of Civil, Commercial and Corporate issues and legal research. However, it also deals with arbitration, commercial dispute resolution, consultancy, business related counseling, problem solving through counseling or mediation or compromise. We maintain utmost sincerity, honesty and accountability with our clients and we expect thesame from our associates.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily vouchers and invoices, and maintain the account book.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting standards.
  • Market Survey.
  • Prepare and maintain check registers.
  • Post the advanced payment and adjust as per the payments made.
  • Ensure the posting of salary and other payments and adjust or make adjustments.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as instructed by authority.
  • Carry out other related duties as per the instructions of the authority.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good computer skills and literacy with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and accounting software
  • Especially cash handling and bank-related work.
  • Inventory check different construction projects and report to management.
  • Positive mentality for a different project visit.
  • Collect and sort the financial-related documents from the unit office.
  • Ensure timely payments (after deducting applicable VAT and tax from the invoice).
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports and recording entries.
  • Work with vendors and co-workers to resolve invoice discrepancies and reconcile monthly vendor statements.
  • Check compliance while processing the invoices with proper approval and payment in terms of the purchase order or agreement.
  • Keep the VAT and tax schedules.
  • Responsible for month-end activities with proper provisioning.
  • Responsible for the GL reconciliation report on a monthly basis.
  • Provision monitoring and tracking of long-aged provision balances
  • Check and bill the C&F and transportation bills
