  • JOB PURPOSE: The Deputy Manager, Innovation Ecosystem and Partnerships, will be responsible for supporting the development of innovative strategies and partnerships to further BRAC`s mission. This individual will be instrumental in driving projects from ideation through to completion, as well as assisting in the design and execution of innovation-focused events.
  • Other responsibilities include stakeholder management, including clients and system actors, is integral to this role. The candidate is expected to endorse safeguarding policies, ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards, and adhere to reporting procedures for any incidents.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment;
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action;
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities

  • Innovation Management:
  • Collaborate with various BRAC Programmes to mainstream frugal innovations for optimising and expanding BRAC’s interventions in Bangladesh.
  • Develop and implement innovative models, based on rigorous landscape analysis, human-centred design principles and deep field insights, to further various BRAC’s missions around Climate Change, Humanitarian Responses and others.
  • Lead efforts in documentation of various innovation methods inside BRAC Social Innovation Lab (SIL) and integrate them into integrating innovation management processes inside the unit
  • Manage an environment of continuous learning and improvement, where learning and pivoting are accepted as a part of the innovation process.
  • Partnership Development:
  • Identify, develop and manage strategic partnerships to amplify BRAC’s impact, focusing on stakeholders from various sectors such as Climate Change, Health, Education, Humanitarian Response and other crucial sectors.
  • Support the mobilisation and coordination efforts between external innovation ecosystems and actors and BRAC program’s and program’s led initiatives.
  • Promote BRAC’s innovation agenda in external forums to attract new partners and resources.
  • Innovation Events and Field Insight Generation:
  • Support in the planning and execution of innovation-focused events, including workshops, innovation challenges, and conferences like the Frugal Innovation Forum. Also the curation and design of sessions and events led by SIL.
  • To supervise the process of knowledge management and iteratively influence further development and design of the project based on the project knowledge and learnings also facilitate the collection and analysis of field insights for future designs and improvement.
  • Work closely with BRAC’s field staff and beneficiaries to understand their needs and incorporate them into our innovative approach.

  • Graduation in any discipline from any reputed public/ private university.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge on project management and partnership development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bangla and English.
  • Knowledge on gender sensitivity and team building capacity.
  • Skills on making presentations, priority setting, planning, delegation and directing others.
  • Minimum 2 years’ of working experience in relevant sector. Specific technical expertise in business innovation management and business development will be given preference.
