As an NGO established by Christian leaders and several western partner organizations in response to post-war needs in Bangladesh, HEED Bangladesh sustained its relevance by redesigning its strategies in accordance with its philosophy of Poverty alleviation and Empowerment of the poor.

Throughout the years HEED Bangladesh has been serving this nation to achieve Eight SDG (SDG 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 13, and 17) in various scopes that include Health, Education (Formal and Informal), Agriculture, Capacity Building, Environmental resource management and Bio-diversity conservation, Disaster management, Socio-economic development of marginalized and underprivileged people, etc.

Presently HEED Bangladesh is working with a motto of ‘Serving the Humanity’ in 32 districts of Bangladesh. Most impactful projects of HEED Bangladesh include Bangladesh has been working in the fields of health, education, agriculture, aquaculture, livestock, forestry, environment & natural resource management, bio-diversity conservation, disaster management, socio-economic development of marginalized and under privileged people, micro finance, nutrition & Hygiene education, water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS, Adolescents and young reproductive health, rural development, awareness raising social mobilization, arsenic mitigation , women empowerment, street children, different emergency response ,Heritage preservationand Educational projects in partnership with the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and numerous well-reputed NGOs and INGOs.

Job Context

  • HEED Bangladesh is a Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education, and Economic Development for more than 48 (forty-eight) years. The Organization invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Admin Officer.
  • • Start Date- As soon as possible .

Job Responsibilities

  • • Maintain filing systems as assigned.
  • • Retrieve information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.
  • • Respond to and resolves administrative inquiries.
  • • Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings and appointments for managers or supervisors.
  • • Record and distribute minutes or other records for meetings.
  • • Maintain office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
  • • Maintain a system for recording expenses and the use of petty cash.
  • • Conduct with Govt. and Non-Govt. Organizations.
  • • Communicate with Banks and other financial organizations based on instructions.
  • • Travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • • Draft and prepare replies to the general and administrative correspondence based on instructions and finalize such correspondence in collaboration with Manager-Administration and take appropriate actions to respond from time to time.
  • • Overall arrangements of meetings.
  • • Ensure hygiene practices at the office and monitor cleanliness of the office premises.
  • • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements

  • • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
  • • Efficiency of Graphics designing is preferable.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 1 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 40 years
  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • • Excellent oral and written (English and Bangla) communications skills.
  • • Knowledge of the internet and good general computer skills in common word processing (MS Word, MS Excel).
